Pineapplehead is a forest psy project by Lucas Mac' Allyster, born in the northeast of Brazil. Music has always been present in his life, and very quickly became a multi instrumentist and singer, producing alternative rock and indie music since 2016. He is studying electronic music production. He believes that he is addicted to modern-day audio technologies. His music is what described best by him is a walk through nocturnal atmospheres and alien sounds. Expect some more amazing grooves by Pineapplehead in the near future.

EP Concept

What happens when you put together an orphan living in a medieval abbey, a Celtic manuscript with magical powers, a spunky fairy residing in the forest, Vikings who are about to attack, and a serpent god who ends up devouring itself after being conquered by the chalk of destiny? As he tries to understand what is important, decides who to obey and disobey, and courageously searches for his own path. The authority he has always looked up to is his stern uncle, Abbot Cellach, who prioritizes, above all, the construction of a wall that would protect the abbey against a Viking attack.

It Makes an important reconciliation between structured civilization and the natural world order. The forest is an understated yet crucial feature in The Secret of Kells. It acts as a locus for Brendan’s emerging connection between past and present, self and other. For some monks of medieval Ireland, nature was not a menacing unknown. These monks “looked on creation with the enchantment of children emerging from a dark room”

Rooted in actual history, The Secret of Kells is a composite sketch of events that took place from about the seventh to the ninth century in Ireland. During this time, Viking raiders repeatedly plundered Iona, Lindisfarne, and other island monasteries around Scotland, Ireland, and northern England. In 830 AD the monks of Iona fled the Norse longboats in a return to Kells carrying but a few relics, including “the most beautifully written book in existence”
